Damn, I think I'm drunk ... I'm having some real problems posting this. Oh, no I'm not. Um, I only had two glasses of the chardonnay that was in my fridge, so this shouldn't be happening. Um, hmmmmmmm. There's a fly on a bowl. Maybe I should revisit this at a later date ...

At Work, For A Moment

| | TrackBacks (0)

Back to work today and there are lots of changes. The security checkpoint wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had to give up my palatial window-seat cubicle for a Smith Barney employee who used to work at 7 World Trade Center. My supervisor's okay, but his home used to be down in Battery Park City. The air is really bad down here. Ayrton is gone and I have that sinking feeling that I might be next on the chopping block ... oh well, at least I have my house music.

A Surprise for Philippe

Damn, we had a good time last night! Bernard and I threw Philippe a surprise birthday party at my house and it was da bomb! We got him good - Papa was trying to crawl under my desk! I made Philippe an especially special limited edition 2-CD set (yes, just one copy). One CD features slow jams and the other, well, it's called "Booty Bounce" ... that kinda says it all! *grin!* Good luck with trying to get a copy. Try asking him for a copy. I don't think he has a CD burner, though ... *snickers!*

Verizon DSL Woes

I'm so lucky to be part of such a beautiful group of people, so full of love!

After 3 weeks, the ongoing saga of Disconnected DSL continues. I have given up on Verizon and have signed up with Earthlink. I can't WAIT to tell Verizon what they can do with my account! Well, I go back to work on Monday, so my blogging will be a lot less sporadic.

Fuck Vinyl

The Shelter's final party at Vinyl that was supposed to take place tonight has been cancelled due to the World Trade Center tragedy. I think you can now go up to Chambers Street, so the owners probably closed it for the day. Yes, my last exit at Vinyl was FINAL!

I'm at home, creating some spiritually healing house music. I hope you're one of the lucky ones because it's strictly for the househeads only ...

9/11

| | TrackBacks (0)

It's been three days since Towers 1 and 2 of the World Trade Center collapsed after each one was hit by a commercial airplane. It's been very surreal and kinda frightening. All of New York City below 14th Street is shut down. I'm very grateful to have friends and family who love me ...

Everyone's Travelling ... But Me

My mother just got back from South Africa *sigh* and Rochelle just got back from Brasil *sigh* and I truly need to get my ass out of this country to see something else for a couple of weeks.

Around Houston and 7th

Last night I was up in Vinylmania chillin' with Stuart, went across town and chilled at Satellite with Adam, picked Natan up from Sosinna's and went to the Village to see Miss Harmonica Sunbeam! Whew! I think I finally have all the records that I need for my debut mix CD (1 or 2, I haven't decided yet) ...

... but I might do something wrong *grin!*

RESET

| | TrackBacks (0)

Have you ever looked around at the people in your life and just ached to press anything marked [RESET]? I'm hoping this is just a minor funk because I really do love the people I have in my life, but sometimes I just have to shake my head ...

I'm experiencing technical difficulties at home. My Verizon DSL has been on the fritz since Friday night. Speaking of Verizon, I noticed that they had a truck in this year's West Indian Day Carnival/Parade — but just TRY and find a Verizon payphone on Eastern Parkway ...
