Rumours abound surrounding what to expect of this week's Macworld Expo; from 20 gig iPods to glimpses of G5 PowerMacs to turning iTools into a paid service (a la Microsoft's Hotmail) to iMacs with 17-inch LCDs.
I changed my mind - I'm going with my cousin and his son on Friday. So holla if ya see meh nah ... if not there, at the grand opening of SoHo's Apple Store the day before and watch me corner Steve Jobs and demand that he build one in Harlem. Or watch the black-shirted staff scurry as cops whisk me away ... *grin!*
Seems like I haven't been listening to music lately, right? Well, I haven't been listening to iTunes, no, but I've become addicted to making little disposable tracks of music with Propellerhead's Reason virtual studio software. This thing is SO FIERCE - it emulates a rack of studio equipment! Even the patch cords! Need another mixer? *click!* Need a new synth? *click!* Need a new sampler - or 4? *click!* Need some reverb or digital delay? *click!* FIERCE! Another thing that's fierce is that they put a 20-minute time limit on the demo. *groan!* That's the same madness that drove me to buy ReBirth, their virtual Roland 303/808/909 combo (which works seamlessly with Reason), but you still want to download it! Maybe I'll FINALLY be that fierce house music producer, making tracks that everyone slips onto their turntables while gossiping sharply about me with cutting words! *sigh!* Ah, but to dream!!!

I’ll be out of town, otherwise I would hook up with you there. Let me know how things go.
