Just Peachy!

I'm currently having a ball in lovely downtown Atlanta, blogging from a public library right down the street from my motel. *grin!* It's just nice to put my feet up. And the spectacular view makes me wanna do thangs, do thangs! *LOL!*

I got in yesterday morning, dropped my bags and IMMEDIATELY ran across the street to go eat breakfast - two Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuits!!! *swoon!* Later, Darrell introduced me to his wonderful husband Tom and we dined at The Flying Biscuit. I highly recommend this place for the food and its impeccable service. That was THREE biscuits in one day! Better pull off of that if I want to wear these clothes I brought with me!!!

Later, I went to the Renaissance Hotel for In The Life Atlanta Opening Celebration. Atlanta mayor Shirley Franklin stopped by to award the event with an Official Proclamation from the City of Atlanta! FIERCE! I got to see friends like Eric and Mike, and Everett and Lee. *grin!* - but no Malik. *pout!* I wanted to do more Black Pride stuff, but unforeseen circumstances (helping out a friend in need and getting stuck overnight in Philly - courtesy of US Airways *spit!*) have dwindled my funds down to very little. I have an unlimited Marta 6-day pass and my hotel and airfare back home are already taken care of, so I'm REAL good. I'm just loving the leisure - just being able to get away from everything. And to look good doing it! *LOL!* (Pictures are forthcoming ...)

Last night (er, this morning), Darrell and Tom dragged me out of my truly Heavenly Bed™ around half past midnight to go to Bulldogs. Rather, to congregate outside of Bulldogs, in the parking lot. It is an Atlanta institution - those who know don't even attempt to get inside because 75% of the crowd is outside! We had fun, I ran into J. and Wood and I got to toss my lovely locks around delighting at this selection of Atlanta's fine men.

Today, I'm pushing up into Lenox Square (a.k.a. Lenox Mall). From what I hear, there will be LINES of us forming early to get into The Gap and Banana Republic (but probably not The Apple Store). More to come ...
