We March

The fierce lesbian motorcyclists!

I almost didn't make it; I snatched myself out of bed around 9:15am and hightailed it over to the Renaissance - not knowing that ITLA's Black Gay Pride March was happening near the West End Mall. Definitely not within walking distance! Anyway, I hooked up with NGLTF's Kenneth Jones. After he checked out, we hopped into his car and sped over there.

I really don't like gay pride parades or rallies. I don't like chanting either. But I enjoyed being part of this march. I don't know a lot about the West End, but I'm definitely going to study this historic neighborhood. Congressman John Lewis led the march along with ITLA and other elected officials (and others seeking to be elected). I'll blog more later - when I get to a better computer.
