Ms. Tina is FIERCE, you hear me? On Saturday afternoon, she invited me to a surprise birthday party for our friend Shannon Ayers at Native later that night. The plan she cooked up with Shannon's boyfriend Jim was as follows: at home, they would pretend to have a small get-together of friends, but noone would show up. Then they would head out for 'some drinks' ... *LOL!* Shannon couldn't have known what was in store for her!

good friend, historian (and Harlemade co-owner) Kevin McGruder & Sheila Anderson; Turning Heads stylists Chris & Tamika

after the surprise, Tina puts her hands up - mission accomplished; fabulous artist Xenobia Bailey & Tina

cute couple Russell Patterson & Murphy Heyliger; the lady of honor in the middle

Shannon is overwhelmed with emotion; Samiya of Turning Heads with Jarrall and Juliette

feeling fabulous, me & Tina; The Cake is courtesy of Settipani, baked by owner Leah Abraham herself!

The Man with The Plan, Jim with Hue-Man Bookstore & Café owner Clara Villarosa; Shannon gets some more love from her mom

how romantic: Shannon gets some more love from her man Jim; the girls get Murphy in the middle

Boogie Nights!; the evening comes to a close with a picture
I know it's starting to look like socialstep.com up in here, but I predict that I'll be posting some more text very soon. Very soon ...

personally i like your pictorials. sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.
Is it just me, or is there always something cool happenin’ when Donald’s around with his camera? The man must have his own theme song!
Donald = Gordon Parks, Jr.? Hmm…
I am loving the blog’s infusion of photos. You are a socialite baby! :-)
I hereby declare Donald A. Agarrat a Doyen in the Making of Mount Morris Park in Harlem!
Now can ride on your coat tail to the next soiree…
