The Keeper Of The Flame

A long time ago, a favorite teacher of mine made me watch 60 seconds tick by. I thought of that yesterday as I struggled out of another funk to go to the gym, forgetting it momentarily due to instant messages requiring my presence - watching minutes, even hours, tick by. Those minutes that tick by (as so many have) won't ever be back. Knowing that isn't enough, though, to be present in every instance, like I want and need to be. Sometimes, most times, just living is such hard work.

I am the keeper of the flame, so I have to keep on, I suppose. I'll leave it at that.

On to other matters: has anybody noticed the ads around here? Are they helpful? Irritating? It's an experiment, but I kinda like 'em! Click to your hearts content on ads that you find interesting. Google does a good job making the ads relevant to the surrounding content (along with a little help). I copped the idea from Ronn and Anil just to see if I'd get approved ... For those of you who might remember ourblog, the colloborative blog I hosted on Tripod, here's a look at version 2.0 ...
