Living In A Material World

As you can probably tell from all the icons laying all over the place, I'm experimenting with MTAmazon, the plugin for Movable Type that lets you get raw product data from Amazon.com. Between that, the Google ads and this free, handy dandy suite of PayPal eCommerce objects for Dreamweaver MX, this site might even pay for itself next year.

I’m still in the midst of testing for MTClient. Maybe Prometheus6 would be interested in combining the two…. hmm…

I’ve been an Amazon Partner for more than a year and have 100s (if not 1000s) of hits. Yet, not one sale. At least with Google AdSense, I’ll get about $25 for my 3/4 experiment.

Looks like I’ll be trying MTAmazon to spur at least a bit of sales.

With amazon the context really depends. I sold a few cd’s from a profile I did on an album that was about to come out. My profile was on the web weeks before an review and Amazon has it on preorder before most other stores.

Boom, then came the sales. I say go for the gogle ads unless your site is a review review site or something.
