Dark periwinkle
a floating fortress, burning
to pink, to nothing

Well, I can't just sit around for the next 4 years rolling my eyes, sucking my teeth and being cynical. And as cool as it sounds to be a renunciant, I'll probably stay my ass right here. So turning my TV off more often couldn't hurt. I'm determined not to let this shit depress me into isolation and doing less than my best. My life depends on it now more than ever.
I have four questions to ask of those of you who voted for Bush:
- Don't you think it's odd that people living in the areas most likely to withstand another terrorist attack (particularly New York and Washington D.C.) STILL didn't vote to re-elect the incumbent?
- Does your vote defining marriage as between a man and a woman also include definitions for 'man' and 'woman' for clarity?
- Is it necessary (or even possible) to reconcile with your fellow citizens who did not vote for the incumbent? If so, how?
- How will your vote affect the world's view of America?
It's fucked up that I was born in a country chock full of stupid and selfish people, but then again how much was this EVER MY country? I was forced to vote for a man who I didn't believe in only because someone worse was in office ... but they might just all be the same person. They all have what they need.
I am so done. I'm too through. I'm just hoping I'll feel better in the morning.

If you haven't voted already, take a digital camera with you into the booth and take a picture of your vote.
