I love Lisa Fischer's voice. It was SO nice to see her backing Tina Turner on Oprah a couple of weeks ago. That's why this picture is one that I could have lived without ever seeing.

And even if I could (after what would seem to be initial shock, judging from your—and your readers’—words), I think I could live with a fuller, more ample, rotund, even, Lisa Fischer. People change…and if one of the best female voices in the business no longer looks like, well, like “we” want her to look, then that is okay. One of her real gifts (those gilded vocal chords) still remains as beautiful as ever.
