Spring Cleanin'

Okay, now that I got a little of that serious frustration (sexual and otherwise) off my chest, here's some cute tidbits I'd like to share. I was doing some spring cleaning (with special thanks going out to Apartment Therapy for the much-needed inspiration) and came across this picture:

Repulsion, January 2003

Hard to believe that was over two years ago! Last summer, Bil up and left Berlin to move to London. It was rough going at first, but she seems to have landed squarely on her feet, doing shows and writing songs. That's really good to know. But y'all, listen to this and tell me if you can imagine someone like Britney Spears singing it - and mind you, this is a DEMO! I know if my ass was Britney, I'd be at least intimidated into some more vocal coaching or something.

That reminds me of Paula Abdul's Spellbound (featuring the beautiful ballad 'Rush Rush') and the demo tapes I have yet to hear of Sandra trying to temper her big, phenomenal voice into something more akin to Ms. American Idol's, er, talent. Well, guess what? My girl, my love, and another personal hero of mine The Mack Diva That Is Sandra St. Victor is pregnant again! Yes, you may know about her vision of Daughters of Soul, the concert extravaganza rolling through their towns in Europe (maybe ours soon? pretty please?!?), but as you can see, that vision is now fully grown. But I'm talking babies! I was (s)trollin' through Union Square the other day and ran into no other than the one and only M - she gave me lots of love and the lowdown. Honey, so on witcha bad self and sow your seeds of love. I miss you.
