There is nothing I can add to what John, Kenyon and especially Doug have already said about these two Iranian teenagers (ages 18 and 16/17?) that were hung two days ago by decree of the Supreme Court of Tehran other than that I am horrified that ANYONE could do this to their children. And this was AFTER they were jailed for 14 months and whipped with 228 lashes! It would horrify me to know that this could be done to anyone, but to the very ones whose lives we are entrusted with nurturing? Public hanging? Well, now come to think of it, it's chilling to think of how sophisticated we are at executing our youth right here at home.
I have an eerie feeling that I've just shed some of their tears. Please especially visit Doug's blog, Direland for more details about the story and contact information for the Iranian Embassy in Canada.
