Ruby On Rails Is The Shit

Just imagine creating an entire blog engine from scratch in less than 15 minutes. You can do it with Ruby on Rails. (And if you use Dreamhost, most of the work is already done for you!) With its immense ease of use, Ruby on Rails is poised to change the landscape of the Internet by allowing users to create dynamic, database-driven applications much more quickly than was ever possible before.

Ruby is not your garden variety object-oriented programming language; its creator, Yukihiro 'Matz' Matsumoto, created it about 12 years ago to "maximize the joy of programming." (Did I mention that Ruby is free?) And now we have it on Rails, the open-source (read: free!) web framework brought to us by hacker extraordinaire David Heinemeier Hansson that uses Ruby to make it really easy - even joyful! - to create entire web applications. On the fly - with a gigantic emphasis on the reuse of code so that you Don't Repeat Yourself. I am so in love!

Okay, so maybe that was a lot of TechTalk™: here's an easy-to-read introduction complete with cartoon foxes!
